As part of a diverse community of faculty and staff representing many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty members across various disciplines to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in our College of Arts & Sciences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Actively engage with the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and adherence to institutional policies. Collaborate with campus resources such as the Center for Academic Success and Engagement, Counseling Center, Campus Security, Dining Services, Student Activities and Orientation, Athletics, Student Health Center, and Campus Ministry to connect residents with resources and support. Demonstrate cultural competence across diverse areas including race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, ability, ideology, religion, and national origin. Disciplines We Are Seeking: Art and Design - Studio Art, Art History, Art Therapy Chemistry Communication Computer Science Counseling - Mental Health & School Criminal Justice Biology Writing English History Global Studies Music Philosophy Psychology Public Health Sociology Social Work Theatre Theology World Languages - Spanish, German, French, ASL Required Qualifications: Master's degree or at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline. Previous teaching experience. Knowledge of and commitment to Marian University's mission. Familiarity with Canvas is a plus.
