Job Description

Job Title: Architectural Designer


Overview: We are excited to have a talented and ambitious Architectural Designer join our dynamic team. Our team has a passion for a wide range of commercial projects and a passion for industrial/modern design. You will have the support and friendship of the in-house architectural team and exposure to thoughtful development. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for architecture, a keen eye for detail, and a strong proficiency in design software and architectural principles. As an Architectural Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces that meet the needs of our clients and adhere to industry standards. Someone passionate about thoughtful vision, design, and construction will love this opportunity. The role will be challenging for people who have yet to have exposure to construction documents and projects.


Responsibilities:


Conceptual Design: Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand their requirements and design preferences. Develop creative and innovative design concepts that align with project goals and objectives.


Design Development: Translate conceptual designs into detailed plans, blueprints, and 3D models using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, etc.).
Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards.


Material and Product Research: Research and recommend appropriate materials, finishes, and products based on project requirements, budget constraints, and sustainability considerations.


Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to integrate design concepts seamlessly into the project.
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance project outcomes. This specific role entails a lot of drafting.


Presentation: Create visually appealing and persuasive presentations to communicate design concepts to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Prepare and present design proposals, including 3D renderings and models, to illustrate the vision and intent of the project.


Project Coordination: Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure the successful execution of design plans. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including construction drawings and specifications.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Architectural Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing design proficiency.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Sustainable design expertise.
  • Experience with ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Passion and knowledge of adaptive reuse and design-build projects.

Salary: $68,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
