Fourth Trimester Postnatal Retreat envisioned and created by a boardcertified Nurse Practitioner and her husband is a luxury retreat for new mothers and their infants to heal rest and learn before beginning their parenthood journey at home. We have created a unique experience for new parents and their babies where lactation consultants postpartum doulas infant care specialists and mental health therapists among other postnatal medical professionals can provide roundtheclock care for mothers immediately following hospital discharge. Our goal is to help prepare new parents for what s to come and allow mothers to begin physically and mentally healing from pregnancy & birth before going home. We also provide a 4T at Home Experience for new parents and babies who are unable to take advantage of the residential retreat environment or who would like to extend services after the retreat.

As we expand our team for Retreat and AtHome experiences we are seeking a compassionate and experienced Birth and Postpartum Doula to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing continuous emotional and physical support to expectant mothers and their families throughout the prenatal period labor and postpartum recovery. Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous emotional and physical support to women and their immediate families during the prenatal period labor and postpartum phase.
  
• Assist expectant parents in understanding their birth options creating personalized birth plans and making informed decisions through the provision of evidencebased information.
  
• Maintain a calming and supportive presence offering comfort measures and reassurance throughout labor.
  
• Support the breastfeeding process addressing common challenges and promoting successful breastfeeding experiences.
  
• Assist mothers with postpartum personal care tasks such as showering changing preparing padsicles and sitz baths as requested.
  
• Offer emotional support to new parents helping them navigate the emotional landscape of childbirth and early parenthood.
  
• Provide nonclinical guidance on newborn care including soothing techniques feeding sleep routines and postpartum recovery for the birthing parent.
  
• Educate parents on infant development bonding and early parenting skills.
  
• Assist with light household tasks such as dishes laundry meal preparation and nursery setup.
  
• Travel independently to and from client homes.
  

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED.
  
• Certification as a Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula.
  
• Proven experience as a Birth and Postpartum Doula with a thorough understanding of the childbirth process and postpartum recovery.
  
• Experience with and a growing knowledge of breastfeeding practices.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with expectant parents.
  
• Excellent communication and active listening skills capable of providing effective emotional support and information to clients.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidencebased birth practices and postpartum care.
  
• Empathy compassion and a nonjudgmental approach to supporting diverse families.
  
• Awareness of cultural and religious birth traditions with the ability to support and respect patients goals and potential restrictions.
  
• Ability to remain calm and composed in highpressure situations.
  
• Reliable transportation and availability for oncall shifts including nights and weekends.
  
• Active CPR Certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to starting.
  

Requirements: Must be 18 or older to apply. Valid Driver s License/ Insurance/ Registration Ability to pass background checks.
