Join Our Team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Remote, with up to 25% travel to NYC

Salary Range: $215,000 - $250,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Bonus and Equity: This role offers eligibility for both a performance-based bonus and an equity stake in the company, providing an opportunity to share in our success and growth.

As a Chief Financial Officer , you'll partner closely with the CEO to shape the financial future of our organization, serving as a key advisor on financial planning, operations, and strategic initiatives.

About the Role

As our CFO, you will be a critical partner to the CEO, driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and profitability. You'll oversee financial planning, accounting, IT, and treasury functions, ensuring alignment with our growth objectives. Your leadership will extend beyond numbers—you'll influence company direction, shape strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes to support business growth.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and Board of Directors.
• Manage accounting, treasury, and IT functions, leveraging systems to enhance accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with leaders across the organization to implement strategies that align with company goals.
• Develop KPI metrics and controls to ensure financial and operational excellence.
• Inspire, recruit, and develop a high-performing finance and IT function.

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience; prior CFO experience preferred.
• Expertise in operations finance with a hands-on approach and a track record of success in fast-paced environments.
• Strong executive presence, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization, from the boardroom to the classroom.
• A passion for early childhood and K-12 education sectors.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience with private equity portfolio companies, education services, or the NY Department of Education is a plus.
