Job Description

Who We Are

Pathstone is an independently owned and operated wealth management firm serving multigenerational families with complex needs, single family offices, and foundations and endowments. Our comprehensive range of services and deep expertise goes far beyond investment management. Every client has different values, goals, and objectives. No two paths are the same. Our expansive capabilities and personal, in-depth approach enable us to customize our solutions and leverage best practices to accommodate each of our clients’ unique needs. It’s what makes us Pathstone – The Family Office.

What the Job Is

Pathstone seeks candidates who will assist the Client Advisory Team with day-to-day projects related to the delivery of Pathstone's integrated wealth management services. The position requires a minimum of 16-20 hours per week during the school year and full-time during the summer. Hours will be scheduled following the core business hours of Monday through Friday between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. Candidates who are able to commit to consecutive engagements will be given priority consideration. After the intern graduates, the hiring team will evaluate each candidate to determine if a permanent position would be a logical next step, provided such position exists.

Interns receive new associate orientation, on‐the‐job training, periodic evaluations, and an exit interview at the end of the internship. Interns will support and be supervised by respective members of the Client Advisory Team, Investment Research team, and the Business Operations team. Interns must be detail‐oriented and will be responsible for researching, producing, and analyzing Excel spreadsheets, reports, and other special projects relating primarily to alternative investments (hedge funds, private equity, real estate, commodities, and distressed debt), as well as traditional investments (stocks and bonds).

Further, because Pathstone believes in providing a well-rounded internship experience, all interns complete service hours as good stewards of our local community. Interns identify and support the organization of their choice, which, we believe, helps our future leaders become well-rounded, positive contributors.
