As Director of Sales & Marketing at the Hotel Indigo Lower East Side, you'll be at the forefront of a unique and vibrant brand. You will craft and execute a dynamic sales and marketing vision, driving strategies that meet and strive to exceed revenue and room night goals. You will lead the market presence and ensure every tactical plan advances ambitious targets. Your day to day People Manage daily sales activities, plan and assign work ensuring you have appropriate staffing Develop your team through coaching and feedback; set performance and development goals Train colleagues to hit hotel revenue goals to the standards expected Foster collaboration across departments to enable a one-team environment Interact with guests, vendors, and other contacts as needed Finance Hit personal and team sales goals and maximize profitability Assist in preparing departmental budget and financial plans including the hotel marketing plan Create and implement sales plans to drive occupancy, average rate, and revenue growth Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts; monitor performance against revenue plans Develop special events and sales initiatives; attend trade shows and events as appropriate Guest Experience Provide guests with information about loyalty programs, attractions, and services Schedule conventions and business group activities; coordinate with hotel departments Communicate requirements for VIPs and large groups to relevant teams Lead marketing efforts to upsell hotel services, offerings, and amenities Responsible Business Engage with local business leaders and community groups to maximize high-profile exposure Market sustainable practices and identify new business opportunities Work with agencies and vendors to optimize advertising investments Enhance the hotel's brand and reputation locally; represent the hotel for media inquiries as needed Identify improvements to marketing activities and sales performance across departments Ad-hoc duties as required What we need from you Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with the hotel’s business objectives Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing teams to achieve revenue targets Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across diverse market segments Collaborate with revenue management to optimize pricing and inventory strategies Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email campaigns, and online advertising Build and maintain relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and local partners Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions Represent the hotel at industry events and networking opportunities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field; MBA preferred Minimum of 7 years of progressive sales and marketing experience in lifestyle, luxury or upscale hospitality Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and driving revenue growth Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and strategies Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions Proactive, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Join us and you’ll become part of the global IHG family.
