The Guidance and Driving Department of the City Center is looking for volunteer drivers who drive and accompany seniors to appointments in and outside The Hague with their own car for an expense allowance.
Are you that helpful driver who likes to help the elderly in a nice and safe way. In addition to practical transport, a chat or pleasant contact during the ride is often important. You are patient, friendly and customer-oriented. You are in possession of a driver's license, your own car and passenger insurance.
The service is especially intended for seniors (60+) who are less mobile and can no longer travel independently to appointments within or outside The Hague. This often involves a hospital visit, the hairdresser, the optician, an activity in the neighborhood or a visit to a partner or family (for example in a nursing home).
We as an organization are 'Corona-proof' and stick to the advice proposed by the RIVM, ensure that as much as possible 1.5 meters can be kept when dealing with our clients and hygiene and protection measures are taken.
