Encompass Senior Business Analyst

About the Role

Client is seeking an Encompass Senior Business Analyst for its Mortgage practice group. The analyst will act as a key contributor throughout project phasesdiscovery, solution generation, design/architecture, and detailed process documentationto help enterprises achieve greater connectivity, faster user acceptance, and shorter turnaround times. The role involves recommending, configuring, evaluating, and deploying high?quality Encompass 360/Smart Client solutions that meet the evolving needs of global mortgage environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure and implement changes and enhancements to the Encompass 360/Smart Client platform to meet business needs.
• Discover and define problem statements, evaluate solution options, and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with technical and cross?functional teams to assess feasibility of changes.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and product prioritization meetings.
• Coordinate/work with offshore teams on a daily basis.
• Conduct test planning and support testing, facilitating resolution of identified bugs.
• Mentor less?experienced Business Analysts.
• Lead design of technical solutions to meet business requirements across Mortgage origination processes and interface design.
• Consult with and advocate to multiple business units outside of project efforts.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent; or three years of progressive experience in lieu of one year of education.
• At least 8 years of IT experience in the U.S. Mortgage space with Encompass knowledge.
• Encompass Smart Client product experience is mandatory.
• Hands?on experience configuring the Encompass Smart Client and familiarity with the full ICE Mortgage Technology product suite.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Scrum Master skills are an add?on.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, and time?management skills.
• U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. is required; sponsorship not available.
• Willingness to relocate or commute to Raleigh, Dallas, or Los Angeles.

Business Analysis Skills

• Develop and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business goals.
• Define and prioritize product features based on market trends, user feedback, and business requirements.
• Work with design and development teams to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.
• Manage and maintain the product backlog, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Conduct requirements elicitation, analysis, configuration, and documentation.
• Manage ongoing communication and clarification of functional and non?functional requirements.
• Create Solution Requirements Packages including use cases/user stories, functional and non?functional requirements, interface mock?ups, process models, workflow storyboards, and traceability deliverables.
• Evaluate solution proposals for technical merit and feasibility to meet business needs within cost and risk parameters.

The role requires extended periods of sitting and working at a computer. Communication may be by telephone, email, or face?to?face. Travel may be required as per job requirements.
