Job Description Job Description Position Description – Stylist Summary of Responsibilities: To provide haircutting services and products that will create a fun and memorable experience to the children and parents alike. Ensure consistency in all aspects of operations and day‐to‐day activities. Build the Pigtails & Crewcuts brand by being a positive example. Key Responsibilities: Provide consultation and cut for children and adults using clippers, trimmers and scissors. Ensure appropriate cleanliness of work areas and salon to State Board Standards. Maintain and sanitize hair cutting tools and salon instruments to State Board Standards. Successfully meet standards of our Shear Excellence, Quality Assurrance Program. Perform Ear piercing following proper Studex procedures. Training to be provided. Provide formal updos and party hair styling in a timely fashion. Perform reception duties when appropriate or required. Sell and support salon’s retail and hair care products. Provide advice to families regarding hair products and care. Help train newly hired hair stylists in a professional manner. Maintain a positive relationship with families in order to ensure they return. Create ease and fun for children who are nervous. Build rapport with peers to make an upbeat environment for everyone. Follow Company policies and procedures. Experience At least 1 year experience as a stylist and/or working with children. Demonstrate ability to work within a team and independently to achieve outlined goals. Education/License Requirements: Licensed Cosmetologist Skills: Must be patient and positive with children and all patrons. Independent thinker Strong communications skills
