SUMMARY Under general supervision of the Assistant IT Director, specializes in connecting component IT sub-systems into a whole and ensuring those IT sub-systems function together. Ensures systems are reliable, efficient, and secure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Analyze existing systems and infrastructure to determine upgrade needs and integration possibilities.
- Participate in and/or lead the planning of integration projects.
- Research and make recommendations on integration products and services.
- Combine subsystems into cohesive units to better support business objectives.
- Communicate with vendors to determine ideal subsystem utilization, potential, and efficiency.
- Report to leadership and key stakeholders regarding infrastructure capabilities.
- Monitor application performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and enhancements. Work closely with other IT professionals, including developers and system administrators. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve processes and enhance user experience. Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Develop standards, processes, and documents to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives. Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs for application support. Follow established procedures for incident management, problem resolution, and change management.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages. Monitor infrastructure, production processes, and application availability. Ensure round-the-clock system operation.
- Research and make recommendations on integration products and services. Continually develop skills in the integration technologies in place in the AI environment, as well as staying informed on new developments in integration technology.
- Identify and resolve application-related issues promptly. Triage, diagnose, and troubleshoot customer-reported problems. Escalate complex issues to higher levels of support when necessary.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance or improve business processes via integration, or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Two years of experience in information technology support and/or systems integration.
Certifications/Licenses: - Valid Utah Driver's License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of:
- Application data connections. Data connection protocols, including database connections, API integrations, and network configurations.
- Management of desktop and web applications. Core functionalities of various desktop and web applications and their interaction with backend services.
- Data synchronization.
Skills with:
- Managing web applications, including configuring web services, managing application pools, and optimizing server performance.
- Troubleshooting and resolving data connectivity issues across different environments (local, cloud-based).
- Deploying and maintaining desktop applications, ensuring they are up to date with the latest features and security patches.
- Implementing and maintaining data synchronization services between desktop applications and databases.
- Configuring synchronization services to ensure real-time data consistency across platforms.
Ability to:
- Configure and maintain secure data connections between applications and databases.
- Troubleshoot desktop web services, including setting up, configuring, and maintaining web servers for optimal performance and security application issues, including performance bottlenecks, user interface errors, and data synchronization problems ensuring minimal data loss and conflict resolution.
- Remain current with the latest technologies and best practices in application development, data connections, and server management.
- Actively seek opportunities to learn new skills and apply them to improve system performance and reliability.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work in a standard office environment which includes reaching, bending, sitting, standing, talking, hearing, and listening.
