Licensed Land Surveyor
Location: Hicksville, NY
About Us:
We are a multidisciplinary engineering and land surveying consulting firm located in Hicksville, NY. We are actively seeking a talented and experienced Licensed Land Surveyor with a valid NYS L.S. license to lead our surveying team. With over 5 years of land surveying and management experience, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various projects, managing field crews and office personnel, and contributing to the growth and success of our firm.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Land Surveyor, your responsibilities will encompass:
Leadership: Lead our surveying group, including marketing efforts and strategic planning.
Client Base Expansion: Develop plans and strategies to expand our client base, working closely with company leadership.
Collaboration: Interact with Professional Engineers as necessary to ensure project success.
Project Management: Plan, organize, execute, and supervise all aspects of land surveying services, maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Representation: Represent our company at professional events and organizations, enhancing our industry presence.
Field Work Planning: Review job specifications and plan field work methods and costs to ensure effective project execution.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot survey instruments to guarantee their optimal performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
To excel in this role, you should have:
Professional License: A valid NY State Licensed Land Surveyor certification, accompanied by a minimum of five (5) years of Land Surveying Experience, particularly in roadway and bridge environments, including topographic surveys.
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of the latest survey techniques, instrumentation, and computer software.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and industry professionals.
Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license to facilitate travel to project sites.
