Merit Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated
IT Systems Engineer II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for providing exceptional service to our clients. Individuals in this position are required to provide proactive, remote and onsite engineering support to clients as needed.
Merit Technologies is a Managed Service Provider located in Greenville, SC. We support a wide variety of technologies and organizations. Since 2009, we have worked hard to provide efficient, productive, and profitable IT solutions for businesses to help them be more efficient. We work as partners to our clients offering RMM, managed services, CIO services, VOIP, security, SaaS development, and disaster recovery. Note: Merit Technologies does NOT mandate vaccines.
Requirements - Local residence in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, South Carolina geographical region.
- Provide technical support on-site, and/or remotely via phone and/or email to the Merit client base.
- Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure solutions for clients.
- Troubleshooting a variety of computer/server/network issues in a timely manner.
- Maintaining, repairing, moving, or carrying computer equipment.
- Configuring computer networks all while adhering to all company standards and policies.
- An experienced professional with a full understanding of Information Technology.
- Well-developed troubleshooting skills and tested methodologies.
- Experienced in analyzing complex issues, distilling and communicating their relevant aspects.
- Maintain and update documentation for systems and processes.
- Ability and desire to be part of a team.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
- Flexibility with a positive attitude.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience.
- Sound time management and task management.
- Knowledge of Office 365 including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Knowledge of Apple Mac Operating Systems and management.
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 Operating System and management.
- This position does require local travel in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson metropolitan area.
Education and Experience - Experience: 3-5+ yrs in the IT field required, MSP experience a plus
- Language: English. Spanish is a plus.
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Field of Study: Engineering or related field.
- A combination of education and experience is acceptable: Yes
- Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
