Job Title: Offset Press Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 6-Color Offset Press Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a KOMORI 6-color offset printing press and a 4 color Heilderberg 52 to produce high-quality printed materials. You will work closely with our production team to ensure efficient printing operations, meeting quality standards, and ensuring that deadlines are consistently met.
Compensation: Hourly. Pay based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate a KOMORI 6-color offset printing press as well as a Heilderberg 52 for a variety of print jobs (including brochures, catalogs, packaging, and other materials).
Monitor press operation, adjusting as needed for optimal print quality, speed, and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance on the press, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacing parts as needed.
Conduct quality checks on printed materials, ensuring consistent color accuracy, registration, and overall quality.
Troubleshoot any issues with the press and take corrective action to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with the prepress and finishing departments to ensure smooth workflow and the timely completion of projects.
Follow safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Keep detailed records of job specifications, press settings, and production logs.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience operating a 6-color offset press (preferred experience with KOMORI)
Strong understanding of offset printing processes, color theory, and print materials.
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and make adjustments to press equipment.
Experience with maintaining and servicing printing presses.
Knowledge of printing inks, coatings, and substrates.
Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality print products.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in printing technology is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 80lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a production environment.
Manual dexterity and the ability to handle fine-tuned equipment.
