Detroit Mercy Dental is looking for a leader to provide direction and provision of dental services while maintaining standards of care at the Wayne County Health Communities (WCHC) Dental Clinics. WCHC is a non-profit organization that was awarded Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status in 2012. WCHC provides health services to community members regardless of their ability to pay.
This position includes a joint appointment as Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the School of Dentistry. Apart from providing direct patient care, this individual will supervise, advice and counsel junior and senior year dental and dental hygiene students who will rotate through the clinic for community based training experiences.
The successful candidate will assist in increasing the accessibility of care and preventative dentistry in an underserved area.
Salary is incentive-based and includes benefits given to faculty at the School of Dentistry.
Qualifications
MUST be a licensed dentist (DDS/DMD) in the State of Michigan.
