Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Inventory Analyst will be responsible to take strategic approaches to optimizing our inventory in the most financially responsible manner. This would involve building a sustainable framework to determine when to return, rebalance inventory and when to escalate internally. This position works in a highly cross functional environment interacting with external vendors along with various internal Sales, Marketing, Finance, Transportation and Distribution teams thus making communication a critical component to the success of this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain current and existing replenish process while adding areas of opportunity for improvement.

  • Accountable for supporting and assisting in redefining our excess inventory framework.

  • Continue cadence of rebalancing excess and/or no move inventory across the network on a consistent basis.

  • Collaboratively developing excess inventory action plans with various internal stakeholders from Operations, Sales, Finance and Marketing teams with primary focus on excess and no move inventory reserves.

  • Responsible for the communication of excess inventory along with the detailed action plan.

  • Engaging with the internal Supply Chain Team to ensure regular returns processes are being followed in accordance with our Supplier contracts and escalating non-responsive suppliers or non-complaint suppliers against our return policies.

  • Work with regional inventory analyst to understand volume and capacity issues. Execute process improvement initiatives related to inventory optimization strategy.

  • Involved in the S&OP process with main focus on excess inventory and actions taken.

  • Conduct quarterly deep dive root cause Analysis to identify areas which can be improved to avoid additional excess and/or no move.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations or Supply Chain with 3-5 years of experience (preferred).

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with Tableau, SQL & BI would be an asset.

  • Strong analytical skills, proven ability to analyze data trends with the use of reporting tools and drive action from findings.

  • Self-starter, ability to navigate and be proactive in recommending solutions and solving problems.

  • Strong professionalism, interpersonal and ability to build rapport, understanding, and trust with all key stakeholders.

  • This position follows a Hybrid Work Model

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS certification or SCMA designation of in the process of completing.

  • Lean knowledge and Operational Excellence project experience preferred with ability to identify and drive improvements using root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
