• Location: Springfield, IL 62781 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs)\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse\n
• Facility: Acute Care Hospital, Level I Trauma Center\n
• Start Date: November 17, 2025\n
• End Date: February 16, 2026\n
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract\n
• Shift: 4x10-hour days (06:15 - 16:45)\n
• Hours per Week: 40\n
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2650 - $2720\n
• On-Call: 1-2 nights per week and every 4th weekend\n
• Charting: Cerner EMR\n
• Scrub Color: Provided\n
• Parking: Free permit provided\n

\n\nCVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) or trauma/major OR nursing experience required\n
• Active Illinois RN license or eligibility (Illinois nursing jobs)\n
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only)\n
• ACLS certification preferred\n
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center required; Level I Trauma Center experience preferred\n
• Teaching hospital experience required\n
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)\n
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs\n
• Whipple procedure experience required\n

\n\nCVOR RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver expert nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) during pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases\n
• Assist with a variety of cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and endoscopic procedures, including aortic aneurysm repair, CABG, ECMO, TAVR, MAZE, LVAD, carotid endarterectomy, femoral cannulation, and Whipple procedures\n
• Scrub and circulate for cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and endoscopic surgeries\n
• Ensure compliance with universal protocols, laser safety, and specimen handling/labeling\n
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to surgical emergencies as needed\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment\n
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Cerner EMR\n
• Mentor and support new staff and nursing students as part of a teaching hospital team\n
